Aritha (also known as Reetha o Ritha)

is an excellent and delicate natural alternative to traditional shampoo for those who have allergies, but not only for them!

Aritha (Sapindus Mukorossi) is a species of tree in the family of Sapindaceae,  whose fruits have the highest rate of saponins, natural surfactants, that are released more or less intensively depending on the water temperature that it is mixed with.

Neem powder comes from the dried and powdered leaves of the "Indian miracle tree", the Azadirachta Indica, belonging to the Meliacee family. With balancing and astringent properties, it has been widely used, since ancient times, because it's an antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-micotic plant. It's an excellent natural method to fight lice, to soothe irritated, oily or itchy scalp, and to prevent dryness and dandruff.

Kapoor Kachli powder comes from the Hedychium Spicatum rhizome (the plant belongs to the Zingiberaceae family). It has antiseptic properties on the scalp, it stimulates hair growth and it has excellent volumizing and conditioning properties. Thanks to its strong natural perfume, it leaves a pleasant scent on the hair.

How to use

For external use ONLY. IT BURNS IN CONTACT WITH EYES. It has an unpleasant, bitter taste, if it comes in contact with the lips.

Do a skin sensitivity test on the crook of your elbow 48 hours before application. Allergic subjects might have an allergic reaction even if the product's 100% natural.

ARITHA GLOW can be used on light or bleached hair only after doing a trial test on a hidden strand of hair. Even if it doesn't contain dyeing molecules, it can change the hair color by making it darker or leaving strange highlights.

Aritha GLOW can replace the shampoo thanks to the high percentage of saponins in it. It has to be used differently from traditional shampoo.

Recommended quantities:

Depending on how long your hair is, you can use:

• 20 grams of powder for short hair,
• 40 grams of powder for long hair.

TIPS:

• Slowly add warm water to the Aritha Glow mix, in order to allow the powder to absorb it. Tip: use warm rosemary, sage or nettle infusion to customize your cleansing mix.
• Mix it vigorously until you obtain a homogenous mix, with batter-like consistency.
• If there are lumps, use a blender.
• Spread and massage the mix delicately on your scalp and roots for a few minutes.
• Then spread the remaining mix on hair lengths in order to maximize Aritha GLOW's cleansing, purifying and conditioning properties.
• It produces way less foam than traditional shampoos, but it's as effective.
• To maximize its purifying and conditioning effect, the mix can be kept on for 15-30 minutes top, wrapping your head in film and covering it with a wool hat to avoid being cold.
• Rinse it abundantly with cold water.
• Use a nut of conditioner on your lengths and always do a last rinse using cold water and vinegar to obtain fluffy and shiny hair.
• It can be used as a skin mask, too: leave it on for 10-15 minutes.
• It's excellent as a cleansing mix for those affected from psoriasis and dermatitis.
• It can be used as a gentle, purifying scrub for a cleansing and exfoliating effect.

You can create effective synergies by adding the SIDR or Shikakai powder to it, or hydrated fenugreek gel or other washing flours, like chickpea flour.

Close the bag tightly after use. Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from air, heat, light, and moisture.

Whoever has particularly dry hair, must use it mixed with SIDR (50%-50%) or METHI (70% Aritha Glow-30%Methi) or simply mixed with flaxseeds gel, and not water, in order to make it more moisturizing on hair and to prevent dryness.

If you have light or bleached hair, you MUST do a color test before applying Aritha on your hair. Your natural light hair can turn into a slighlty warmer shade while bleached hair might have weird highlights.

Aritha Glow can be mixed to other cleansing  (SIDR or Shikakai) or healing herbs, like Methi or Amla to create your own ayurvedic mask based on your own needs. Alternatively, it can be mixed with other cleansing flours like chickpea flour to maximize its washing effect.
